Tehran holds Capital Cup Virtual International Poomsae Competition

Tehran has hosted the first Virtual International Poomase competition on the occasion of the Taekwondo day.

The Tehran taekwondo union held the event, titled the “Capital Cup" for male and female athletes in two categories of  individual and group competitions, for green, red, blue, and black belt holders, attracting 1300 poomsae athletes from  78 countries around the world participated in different age groups; -12 to +65 years of age.

Of the 600 female participants, Iran gained 9 gold, 10  silver and 12 bronze medals and took the first place, followed by China (one silver and 3 bronze medals) and Mexico (2 gold medals). Argentina (1 silver), Venezuela ( 1 gold), USA (1 silver) and Colombia (1 bronze) were other medal winners.

 

Of the 700 male poomsae athletes, Iran gained 10 gold, 11 silver and 11 bronze medlas and took the first place. Italy with 2 gold and 3 bronze, Venezuela  with 3 gold and Mexico with 2 gold and 2 silver medals were other medal winners.
